Gulakmale - 3

Gulakmale is fast turning out to be one of my favorite birding destinations. This time I was armed with my new 120-400mm Sigma lens. I returned low yields mainly because of my discomfort with the new equipment.

Here are some notable captures

This one's the female. I had captured a male during my visit to Kabini.

35. Female Asian Koel (Eudynamys scolopacea)
I had captured a male during one of my visits to GKVK. I love the red iris of this species.

This endearing pair lives in the empty plot next to zenrainman's house. It's every birder's dream to get this kind of access to a bird's life. I live for days like this.
